Back in S.F. Needles and Pens had there 10-Year Anniversary show at Luggage Store Gallery

I made this 1/1 zine appropriately titled “One of One” in homage to Ruscha’s publications. 84-pages full of awesomness that can only be seen in person at the gallery. I hung some photos as well. There’s a lot of stellar work hanging. Go! *Thanks Greg for the problem solving.

Always Good to see the Sac-town homies

19-year old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother turned Boston in to real life Grand Theft Auto and brought the entire city under military siege. Once again, traditional media did a wonderful job at blundering the facts, playing on emotions, and failed at professional investigative journalism or asking rational questions. “The problem with living in the age of instant communication is that too many people feel they must communicate instantly. There was quite a bit of value to thinking something over, waiting for facts, evidence, and a completed investigation before stating an opinion. Opinions without facts are a waste of time and energy. All we have right now is speculation and that means we know nothing. How refreshing it would be to hear just that.”

I did a 10-page interview with Charlie Roberts in the May 2013 issue of Juxtapoz Magazine.

I don’t usually like any kind of “graffiti on canvas” type crapo, but VFR is stamped and approved. Plus, it was at aNYthing and they have been more welcoming than most since I’ve moved to this sinking ship.

Evan came to talk shop. He definitely brought the humor to the table on this one.

This is Doug Rickard speaking at SFAI (Author of the awesome site American Suburb X). This was a bizarre experience. It is apparent after attending this lecture that Rickard’s work raises a range of questions and draws out heavy emotions. I just wished that some of the attendees would have allowed him to finish instead of being so quick to attack, apposed to discussing like mature grown ups. People want to hear what they want to hear and what you say may not be that.
