BAD PLANNING AND SMART GUIDANCE 9/16/2011
Still participating in summer, one of the best yet!

This is where the oldest, still in circulation skateboarding magazine, Thrasher is created monthly, established in 1981. Also home to Juxtapoz magazine, established in 1984. What are magazines you ask? They were once a form of printed media distributed through the mail (Not to be confused with Email). They could be found in newsstands and bookstores (On the verge of extinction). They were thoughtfully curated and commonly had an editor who “proof read” type before printed. I will post date this 9/16/2021, ten years from today for back reference.

How much do you think this could sell for? A new car? A new boat? A new house? I like that it is hiding in the foliage.

October issue of Juxtapoz. I photographed and interviewed my old friend Brandon Chuesy.

File under Endangered Species List. Appreciate them while you can. Classic Juxtapoz library upgrade. I have been reminiscing lately of old deceased publications such as Big Brother, Life Sucks Die, Anthem, Slap, While You Were Sleeping, Mass Appeal, Beautiful Decay, Transworld Skateboarding and so many more. If you ever visit Tokyo make sure to visit their Tower Records (They still exist in Japan), I will likely buy a plane ticket to loiter in that store again.
