Derek Albeck resides in Los Angeles and makes incredibly meticulous graphite drawing on paper. His recent experimental work involves using graphite with traditional printmaking techniques. He works in a poorly ventilated basement of a gallery. I hope he wears his respirator more regularly.

I really liked this strange cat sculpture. Derek even offered for me to take it. I try to practice the same when someone express’s a strong interest in something in my possession. But I just couldn’t take advantage of Derek’s generosity.
